Maintenance
Until you set up admin roles for your Company Page, any employee (present or past!) with a valid email address at your company domain can modify any company information. This can go horribly wrong. Designate a department or sole person to maintain your LinkedIn page, which should include checking it daily, responding to messages or questions, adding relevant groups, and keeping products and services updated.
Connections
Increase your company connections by adding people with similar interests. Find and join groups on related topics, and get involved with the ongoing discussions! Ask and answer questions to grow your influence as an expert company.
Discuss
The more questions you answer, the better your chances that the person asking the question will click on your blog to learn more about you. Additionally, when someone rates your answer as “The Best” of the mix, it will improve your thought leadership status. It moves you up the rankings as a “featured expert” within that category. When you are a featured expert people become more aware of your profile, improving the chances that they will click on your link.
Content
Whatever content your company is already generating should be integrated to LinkedIn and vice-versa. It is also beneficial to create content specifically for your LinkedIn Company Page and let your audience know to go there to read it.
Integration
Blog feeds and tweets can both be pulled into your page but beware: these should be consistent and keep the same messaging! Essentially, LinkedIn can seamlessly integrate with your site, blog, Twitter and Facebook to get your messaging in front of five different audiences.
LinkedIn Signal
Signal is a real-time search engine that’s listed as “Updates” on the search menu. Use it to monitor what people are saying about any topic. You can also filter by connection, date, company and industry. Find these updates and interact with the people involved with them.
